Job Description

• Lead the design strategy and vision for UI/UX across all digital platforms and products within the organization.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals, user needs, and technical constraints, translating them into effective design solutions.

• Develop and maintain UI/UX standards, guidelines, and best practices, ensuring consistency and usability across all applications.

• Conduct thorough user research, usability testing, and analysis to validate design choices and iterate on solutions.

• Mentor and guide junior designers and cross-functional teams on UX/UI principles and methodologies.

• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design tools, integrating new techniques and approaches as appropriate.

• Act as a thought leader and advocate for user-centred design within the organization, influencing stakeholders at all levels to prioritize user experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field.

• Proven experience (X+ years) as a UI/UX Architect or similar role in a senior capacity.

• Expertise in designing complex, enterprise-level applications and digital products.

• Strong understanding of design systems, information architecture, and interaction design principles.

• Proficiency in UX/UI design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, etc.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design rationale and justify design decisions.

• Experience leading design workshops, user interviews, and usability testing sessions.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in UX design or related field (e.g., Certified Usability Analyst, UX Certification).

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and design sprints.

• Familiarity with front-end development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and their impact on design.

Additional Information

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $70.00 - $85.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Compensation Package: 1099 contract

Schedule: 8 hour shift, Monday to Friday

Experience: UI: 10 years (Required); UX: 10 years (Required)

Work Location: In person
