Job Description
This job is with Capgemini, an inclusive employer and a member of myGwork – the largest global platform for the LGBTQ+ business community. At Capgemini Invent, we help our clients to embrace innovation and transformation through a combination of strategy, technology, data science, and creative design expertise. As a User Experience Designer, you will be part of the Digital Factory community, focused on user-centered design and problem-solving while working with major clients in both public and private sectors. Our offices are located in various cities including London, Manchester, and Glasgow, with a hybrid working approach.
The role includes opportunities for business development, internal contributions, and personal growth through continuous learning and development. You will work collaboratively to create impactful products and services that meet user needs while adhering to design standards.
Requirements
We’d love to meet someone with:
- Grounding in user-centered design from concept to final delivery.
- Experience working with User Centred Design colleagues to synthesize insights and implement outcomes.
- SC (Security Check) Clearance.
- Experience with Government Digital Service (GDS) service standards.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Invision Studio, Axure, etc.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
- Proven ability to present designs and justify decisions with an evidence-based approach.
- Skills in creating design concepts and artefacts such as personas, service maps, and wireframes.
- Experience in rapid paper and digital prototyping and the ability to build prototypes using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Potential and mindset are also important to us. We provide bespoke training and support to help develop skills as needed.
