Job Description

As an Experience Designer at Razorfish, you’re a strong advocate for the customer. Your formal training in design drives your passion for customer-centric innovation, and you take pride in your work. You obsess over details, embrace feedback, and are a great storyteller, capable of presenting and discussing your work with clients and stakeholders. You challenge conventional thinking and place the customer at the center of everything you do, utilizing User-Centered Design methodologies.

Your responsibilities include transforming complex problems into elegant experiences, ideation, concept development, and experience innovation. You will create sketches, wireframes, specifications, prototypes, scenarios, and storyboards while closely collaborating with development teams to ensure design intent is achieved. You will also partner with UX designers, copywriters, design researchers, creative technologists, product owners, and mobile developers, advocating for user needs throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in interaction design, human-computer interaction, or industrial design preferred. A degree in related fields such as library science, graphic design, animation, or architecture is considered helpful. A minor in Marketing, E-commerce, Psychology, English, History, or Anthropology is a plus. Certification programs, workshops, and/or bootcamps are also accepted with a minimum of 1+ years of professional experience in agency and consulting environments.

Experience: Demonstrated practice in experience design, focusing on complex software UX/UI patterns for marketing tech platforms, retail-oriented transactional or e-commerce experiences, and familiarity with web3 UX/UI design patterns. Ability to work seamlessly within medium to large-sized teams, preferably in a cross-disciplinary digital agency. Strong familiarity with the standard XD toolset and proficiency in creating key XD artifacts within design thinking methodology. Working knowledge of agile and waterfall methodologies, responsive web, atomic design, and design systems is also required.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $55 - $62/hr. This role may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system after meeting certain criteria. Participation in the 401(k) plan is also available after eligibility is established.
