Job Description

As a part-time Freelance Senior Experience Designer at Level, you are a strong advocate for the customer, formally trained in design, and passionate about customer-centric innovation. You pride yourself on attention to detail, iterating on your work until it’s right, and seeing feedback as beneficial. You excel at storytelling and are comfortable presenting and discussing your designs with clients and stakeholders. Your primary focus is user-centered design methodologies.

Please note that this freelance opportunity is for 20 hours a week for up to 4 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Transform complex problems into elegant experiences
• Ideation, concept development, and experience innovation
• Create sketches, wireframes, specifications, prototypes, scenarios, and storyboards
• Collaborate with development teams to achieve design intent
• Work closely with UX designers, copywriters, design researchers, creative technologists, product owners, and mobile developers
• Ensure feasibility of designs
• Advocate for the user throughout the project lifecycle
• Stay updated on current design methodologies, practices, and trends
• Experience working in agile methodologies
• Participate in observational studies, usability testing, and other customer research
• Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, detailed designs, and design rationales

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in interaction design, human-computer interaction, or industrial design preferred. Certification programs, workshops, and/or bootcamps are also considered with 3+ years of professional experience in agency or consulting settings.

Experience:

Demonstrated experience in the following areas:

• Complex software UX/UI patterns for marketing tech platforms
• Retail-oriented transactional or e-commerce experiences
• Familiarity with web3 UX/UI design patterns
• Ability to operate within medium to large-sized teams in a digital agency
• Strong familiarity with standard XD tools including Sketch
• Proficient in creating key XD artifacts within design thinking methodology
• Working knowledge of agile and waterfall methodologies, responsive web, atomic design, and design systems
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with clients

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $70 to $80/hour. Compensation will be determined based on skills, qualifications, and experience. The company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. This role may be eligible for a freelancer/temporary employee medical plan and the 401(k) plan after meeting certain criteria.
