Client: jobs24.co.uk

Location: Nottingham, United Kingdom

Contract: Full-time, Full-time, Contractor

Job Description

As a Senior UX Designer, your responsibilities will include competitor analysis, defining user models, discovering business rules and constraints, and collaborating with analysts. You will design our product ecosystem and specific product features such as layout patterns, UI elements, navigation patterns, and information architecture. Your role will involve divergent and convergent iterative design backed up with rationale and critique, as well as rapid prototyping and user testing. You will produce high-fidelity pixel-perfect designs and collaborate with visual designers and developers. Additionally, you will develop the Sage brand, pattern libraries, and Design System, while supporting, coaching, and mentoring junior colleagues.

You will also engage in peer reviews, provide feedback and critique to support the design of others, and manage stakeholder relationships. This is a hybrid role - three days per week in our Newcastle or Manchester offices.

Requirements

You will bring strong experience in:

  • Deep understanding of AI technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing, and generative AI, and their integration into user experiences.
  • UX and UI design, with a track record of shipped projects.
  • Interaction design - low-to-high fidelity, iterative design.
  • Expert-level use of Figma.
  • Design of cloud software, software-as-a-service (SaaS), or rich interactive systems.
  • Design thinking (Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype and Test).

Not essential, but practical experience is a good advantage in:

  • Designing and launching AI-driven products with a focus on creating user-friendly, trustworthy experiences.
  • Information architecture.
  • Lean and Agile methodologies.
  • Design Sprint or value proposition design methods.
  • Customer journey mapping and service design.
  • Product-led growth.
  • Designing for product ecosystems or Design Systems.
  • Design collaboration and critique in a larger design organization.
  • Native mobile design (iOS or Android).

There are dedicated team members for user research and user testing, content design, and business analysis, but generalist experience in these areas is beneficial.
