Job Description

Hogarth is the Global Content Experience Company, partnering with prominent brands worldwide to deliver relevant, engaging, and measurable content. As part of WPP, Hogarth has a creative and technology-focused team of over 7,500 professionals. The Freelance Web Developer (On-site) will be responsible for building and modifying responsive web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other tools, based on visual briefs. This role involves localizing pages, updating links, images, and text based on client coding standards. The position requires a passion for technology, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Mentorship and training will be provided by a senior development team. This freelance role is for short-term projects lasting 3-5 weeks, requiring on-site work between mid-January and March 2025.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years web development experience

• Independent and efficient worker capable of meeting deadlines

• Fluent in English, both written and oral

• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized

• Expertise in web languages and technologies, including version control systems (SVN and GIT), repositories, and build tools (Gulp)

• Proficient in HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and JavaScript/JQuery

• Experience in responsive development and Front-End Frameworks (Foundation)

• Knowledge of image manipulation software (Photoshop, InDesign) and ability to slice elements from a PSD

• Experience with accessible and SEO-based coding

• Ability to hand-code front-end without WYSIWYG tools like Dreamweaver

• Strong understanding of usability and proficiency in developing to W3C standards

• Familiarity with email newsletter builds using MJML and related automation tools

• Experience with optimization for mobile devices and responsive/adaptive methods

• Excellent attention to detail

• Available to work on-site from mid-January to March 2025

Other Information

This freelance role is intermittently available throughout the year, making it suitable only for individuals not currently in full-time positions unless they plan to freelance full-time. The work requires full-day on-site attendance at the client’s office in One North.
