Job Description

Job title: Senior Content Designer (18-month FTC)

Location: Coventry/Midlands area

Ways of working: Hybrid - 2 days per week in Manchester office/client site

Start date: Beginning of March 2025 (with a project lined up for the successful applicant)

Requirements

Key Skills:

• Strong experience in content design
• User-centred content design, utilizing user research to inform content development
• Experience designing services for users with online challenges, including disabilities, digital confidence, age, or neurodiversity
• Information design skills, integrating text, data, and visual content
• Experience in designing information architecture, user-centred taxonomies, and pseudonym/alias libraries
• Ability to develop content strategy, design principles, style guides, and ‘tone of voice’
• User testing experience with content styles in user groups
• Experience in an Agile project environment
• Multi-platform content design experience

Desirable:

• Experience working in government
• Familiarity with Whitehall Publisher platform
• Knowledge of Government Digital Service writing conventions
• Branding and layout design experience
