Job Description

Teach for Thailand is seeking a talented and passionate UX/UI Designer to join the Founding Team of a social venture within the organization, known as β€œProject Polaris.” As the Lead Designer, you will be responsible for crafting intuitive interfaces and impactful experiences that empower teachers and inspire students nationwide. You will have the creative freedom to lead the design vision, experiment with new ideas, and pioneer innovative approaches to deliver scalable solutions for education. The primary goal is to reduce teacher workloads, promote data-informed instruction, and foster collaboration among educators, starting with a pilot for 100 teaching fellows in Semester 1 of 2025 and scaling to impact 100,000 students by the end of 2026.

Key Outcomes:

  • Usability and Efficiency: Design intuitive interfaces that achieve a System Usability Scale (SUS) score of 80+ and ensure 90%+ of users can complete core tasks efficiently and independently.
  • User-Centered Iteration: Continuously improve the user experience through feedback loops and usability testing to enhance engagement and retention among educators.
  • Brand and Accessibility: Create on-brand, visually engaging designs that are accessible to educators of varying proficiency.

Working Expectations

We offer flexible work arrangements, open to both full-time and freelance candidates. You will play a key role in the design process, and regular communication and collaboration will be essential. The role requires initiative, creativity, and a passion for user-centered education solutions. You’ll be expected to meet milestones with flexibility on timelines while helping shape the direction of Project Polaris as it evolves.
