Job Description

The Senior Video Editor is an advanced level role, responsible for the development and execution of video communications designed to impact POWER’s customers, candidates, and employees. In this role, the Senior Video Editor leads in the development of content ideas for the Brand Department through executing the post-production creative process, including file and project organization, collaboration with the creative team, compelling editing and implementation of feedback, technical and creative optimization, and delivery of final products. This position requires a compelling storyteller with deep technical aptitude and an ability to set the standards of POWER’s creative style and voice. The Senior Video Editor also collaborates with leadership to plan and delegate post-production assignments, provides quality control reviews of works in progress, serves as a mentor to Video Editor and Junior Video Editor roles, and assists in developing and implementing department operating procedures and technical standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead execution post-production responsibilities on all assigned projects on time and on budget.
  • Drive cross-functionality in the development of project goals, project scope, and creative approach.
  • Oversee contributions towards the development of shot lists and production schedules.
  • Ensure execution of project setup, asset management, metadata tagging, edits, reviews, and revisions.
  • Lead planning and development meetings for assigned projects.
  • Ensure effective communication with project teams throughout the creative development process.
  • Ensure the execution of high-profile projects with an advanced level of technical expertise.
  • Collaborate with leadership in developing post-production approaches for all projects.
  • Assist department leadership in the development and training of post-production standards.
  • Mentor Video Editor and Junior Editor roles.
  • Track working time spent on assigned projects for reporting purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 7-10 years experience in a post-production environment, with emphasis on creative storytelling.
  • 7-10 years experience working in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly Premiere, After Effects, and Audition.
  • Proficiency in audio mixing and color correction.
  • Experience working with a team-based media asset management system.
  • Experience working with project management software.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High degree of technical proficiency utilizing video editing tools and platforms.
  • Self-motivated, ambitious, and eager to learn.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in building, leading, and developing individuals and teams.

Work Environment
