Exciting Opportunity for passionate Website Designers. This is a contract opportunity with the Victorian State Government, part of a dynamic software development team that creates and maintains web-based apps crucial to the education sector across Victoria. The Website Designer will lead the creation of quality and visually engaging designs that enhance the user experience of the website. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders, including project managers and developers, to ensure that the website meets both aesthetic and functional requirements. The designer must demonstrate a combination of design principles, technical expertise, and an understanding of current web trends to deliver a user-friendly website that aligns with branding and enhances the online experience.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Proven experience as a Website Designer or in a similar role, preferably within government or the public sector.
• Proficiency in website design software and technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• A strong portfolio showcasing a range of website design projects and creativity.
• A strong understanding of visual design, colour theory, typography, and user experience principles.
