Job Description

The Designer I role will focus on designing modified standard products as part of the product design team at our new Technology Development Center located at our St. Louis, MO headquarters. This role involves supporting and troubleshooting with our manufacturing teams to meet quality and delivery goals. Team members will work directly with our inside sales team for product requirements and report directly to the Engineering Team Leader.

Your key responsibilities will include interpreting customer requirements, defining design specifications, preparing documentation packages for manufacturing, interpreting customer provided prints and CAD models, creating and revising documentation in support of product and process design and development, providing technical support to production, sales, customer service, and purchasing, and working with a team to develop innovative solutions to customer requirements, ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two-year Associates degree in design, drafting, or engineering preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in 3D CAD is preferred (SolidWorks).
• Experience reading engineering drawings is preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of electrical principles and Ohm’s Law.
