Zenfreed, LLC - Programmer Analyst - Front End Engineer
Front-End Developer is needed in Lansing, United States.
The position is responsible for providing ongoing maintenance and support of the Michigan Disease Surveillance System (MDSS). MDSS is a complex application that supports communicable disease surveillance, registries, and case management systems that are critical to supporting effective responses to public health emergencies and reducing the burden of communicable diseases. MDSS is going through modernization to enhance stability and functionality of the system. With phase 1 already completed. The resource is integral to developing and maintaining and enhancing MDHHSâ MDSS phase 1. Making sure automated processes are functioning, streamlining critical business processes, data integrity, SEM/SUITE compliance, and securing the application. The resource also performs as a technical lead and provides technical guidance to the other developers in the department. As a technical lead, the resource participates in a variety of analytical assignments that provide for the enhancement, integration, maintenance, and implementation of projects. The resource will also provides technical oversight to other developers in the team that support other critical applications . Not having a resource on staff will lead to MDHSS failing to maintain, enhance, and support the modernized MDSS that can lead to errors causing application outages, data integrity issues and can eventually lead to incorrect information being processed and reporting of the patient information.
Job Duties
- Write well-designed front end, testable code using NextJS, ReactJs, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, HTML, XML.
- MUST have strong experience in the NextJS Framework
- Creating visually appealing, responsive, and user-friendly web interfaces using modern front-end frameworks (NextJs, JavaScript, HTML, CSS) while considering stateâs accessibility standards.
- Working closely with back-end teams to design architecture for systems and applications Utilizing AWS services user authentication, Amplify for data management, CloudFront for content delivery, S3 for storage, and API Gateway for backend API interactions
- Help to design scalable and reliable cloud-based applications using AWS services
- Understanding of core AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Cognito, and CloudFront
- Working closely with backend developers to design and implement APIs, ensuring proper data communication between the front-end and cloud services.
- Implementing techniques to ensure fast loading times and smooth user experience on the front-end, including code optimization, mage compression, and caching strategies.
- Ability to design scalable and reliable cloud-based applications using AWS services
- Ensuring optimal website speed across devices and browsers and making sure websites work uninterrupted across browsers and systems.
- Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC) including experience in gathering requirements and writing functional/technical specifications for complex projects.
- Hands on experience Integrating software components into a fully functional software system
- Extensive knowledge on source control tools such as GIT/Azure DevOps
- Develop software design documents and work with stakeholders for review and approval.
- Exposure to flowcharts, screen layouts and documentation to ensure logical flow of the system requirements
- Experience or Knowledge on creating CI/CD pipelines using Azure Devops
Requirements⢠10+ years:
- Overall IT experience.
⢠8+ years:
- Projects development using NextJS, ReactJS and/or JavaScript HTML and CSS.
- Experience with AWS Cloud-based Application Development
- Experience with Containerization Technology, e.g., Docker, Kubernetes.
- Utilizing AWS CloudWatch for monitoring and troubleshooting of AWS resources
5+ years:
- Using CMM/CMMI Level 3 methods and practices.
- Implemented agile development processes including test driven development.
- Experience or Knowledge on creating CI/CD pipelines using Azure Devops and handling continuous integration and deployment in AWS DevOps.
- Experience developing micro services.

CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCAL TO MID-MICHIGANâŚ
Position is a hybrid onsite 2 days per week - REQUIRED NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION
Working hours Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
