Job Description

Our client is seeking a UX/UI Designer for a remote opportunity. The role involves balancing customer needs and business requirements to design user-centered experiences, defining information architecture and sitemaps, and creating user flows to achieve user goals. The designer will also design UI components, partner with the Global Design System team, define brand expression, create wireframes and prototypes, oversee user testing, and ensure quality assurance during development. Additionally, the designer will identify scalable design solutions and create new components for the global design system.

Requirements

Essential Business Experience & Technical Skills:

• 3+ years of experience designing for responsive web and mobile.
• Skilled in user experience fundamentals including research, wireframes, prototypes, and usability testing.
• Strong knowledge of user interface design, interaction design, information architecture, and visual design.
• Proficiency with Adobe XD and Figma; skills in CSS, JavaScript, and HTML are a plus.
• Experience collaborating with product managers, developers, analysts, strategists, and other designers.
• Strong communication skills to articulate design value to users and the business.
• Able to take direction, manage competing priorities, and work in a team environment while owning initiatives.
• Comfortable designing with and leveraging a design system.
• Experience in developing or maintaining design systems is a plus.
• Experience working in iterative processes and in an agile environment.
• Financial services and insurance domain knowledge; able to engage in meaningful stakeholder conversations.
• Mobile-first approach to design with responsive and adaptive web design skills.
• Experience with mobile app interaction design.
