Job Description
This role serves as the social media strategist in the Department of University Recreation, aimed at engaging various audiences across multiple social media platforms. The position is temporary and requires candidates to apply through the University of Arkansas System’s career site, specifically for current students and employees.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current University of Arkansas student
- Must possess Pediatric & Adult First Aid, CPR, and AED certification or be able to obtain certification within 40 days of hire (UREC provides certification opportunity if needed)
- Knowledge and experience in traditional marketing
- In-depth understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Considerable experience with content and lead generation in social media
- Ability to interpret various metrics associated with social media analytics
- General understanding of photography principles for social media posts
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities (KSAs):
- Working knowledge of SEO principles including keyword research and Google Analytics
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills to generate interactions with college-aged students
- Excellent writing and language skills
