Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our team. As a Full-Stack Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining both server-side logic and front-end components to create dynamic, scalable web applications. You will build and integrate user-facing elements with back-end services, ensuring seamless functionality across the entire stack.
The role requires strong technical skills in back-end and front-end development, working with databases, APIs, and cloud environments. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet business requirements while adhering to best practices in performance, security, and scalability.
Requirements
Must be an Australian Citizen.
Experience:
- 4+ years of full-stack development experience, particularly with Java-based microservices on the back-end and front-end technologies like Angular.
- Proficiency in building scalable server-side applications using NodeJS and extensive experience with NestJS for writing well-structured, maintainable, and modular back-end services.
- Experience with relational databases like DB2 and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
- Hands-on experience with RedHat operating systems and OpenShift for managing containerised applications.
- Expertise in front-end frameworks like Angular or similar, with experience working closely with back-end services to deliver cohesive solutions.
- Ability to create responsive and user-friendly web interfaces.
- Hands-on experience working in Agile development environments, including familiarity with Agile tools and practices.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying and resolving technical issues across the stack.
Desired Attributes and Skills:
- 4 years of experience working with container orchestration and deployment systems like Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices for both front-end and back-end systems and implementing security measures across the stack.
- Experience working in government or public sector environments is a plus.
