3D Animator Needed for talking horse animation

About the Project:
We’re creating a vibrant, heartwarming animated film about a courageous horse embarking on a galactic adventure to save his beloved flower with a magical gem! This playful story blends humor, emotion, and imagination - and we need a talented 3D animator to bring our hero (and his world) to life.

Your Role:
As our 3D Animator, you’ll collaborate with a passionate creative team to animate a talking horse protagonist and infuse personality into his journey. This is a 4-5 month remote freelance role with an immediate start date.

Key Responsibilities:
• Animate a talking quadruped horse (animal/creature animation expertise required).
• Perfect lip-sync techniques for expressive, believable animal dialogue.
• Create dynamic, emotive movement that balances humor and heart.
• Collaborate remotely with director and artists to align with the film’s vision.
• Deliver high-quality work on schedule, adhering to project milestones.

Skills:
• Proficiency in Autodesk Maya (primary software for this project).
• Experience with animal motion and lip-sync/dialogue animation.
• Ability to interpret storyboards and translate them into fluid, engaging motion.
• Fluent English communication and responsiveness in a remote team setting.

Bonus Skills (Not Required, but Awesome!):
• Familiarity with Blender for supplementary tasks.
• Prior work on quadruped animations (horses, dogs, etc.).
• A keen eye for blending humor and emotion through movement.
• Passion for storytelling and creative problem-solving.
