As a UX UI Designer, you are required to develop the structure and flow of a digital solution (website, app, software, mobile, etc.). The role involves conducting research, interviews, and surveys, then translating that information into sitemaps, wireframes, and prototypes. Key responsibilities include enhancing website usability, ensuring seamless and visually pleasing user experiences, researching usability, crafting logical information architecture, designing captivating interactive concepts, and developing user interfaces. You will also be responsible for coding website structures and proposing innovative design concepts.
Requirements
You will need to partner with various business teams in the organization to understand how the end user will interact with the platform, then develop the structure and flow to facilitate that interaction. A solid grasp of user research, information architecture, interaction design, and content strategy is essential, along with the ability to communicate how these factors will influence design processes and outcomes. Familiarity with usability principles and techniques, as well as proficiency in using UX tools across various development stages (wireframing, prototyping, user research and testing, organizing information, and analytics), is required.
Bridging user-focused research and design execution, you will strive to create digital products that are aesthetically pleasing, functionally practical, and user-friendly. Knowledge of information architecture is necessary for designing sitemaps, developing application maps, and creating process flows, as well as organizing information and data to establish hierarchy and structure for optimal user experiences.
Technical Skillset Required
- User Research: Proficiency in conducting user interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiries, and other research methods.
- Information Architecture: Ability to structure and organize information logically and intuitively.
- Interaction Design: Expertise in designing intuitive and engaging interactions, wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups.
- Visual Design: Skills in typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Prototyping and Wireframing: Proficiency in using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch for creating wireframes and prototypes.
- Coding and Web Development: Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Data Analysis: Ability to interpret and analyze user data for design decisions.
- Project Management: Skills in managing UX projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Accessibility: Knowledge of web accessibility standards and guidelines.
- Continuous Learning: Willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest UX trends and tools.
