Job Description:

This is a contract role for a MID-LEVEL Animator at Primary Visual Effects based in Bristol. As an Animator, you will be responsible for:

• Creating high quality motion of computer graphics creatures, characters, and objects within a shot
• Using a variety of animation software programs
• Working under the Animation Supervisors
• Successfully animating a series of shots on a specific project
• Providing feedback and participating in determining aesthetic solutions
• Maintaining productivity, meeting deadlines, and producing high-quality work
• Mentoring entry-level Animators and assisting them with their shots
• Performing other tasks related to the creation of computer-generated animation

Requirements:

• Must be based in the UK with the right to work there
• Must be based in Bristol or willing to commute daily to the office
• Ideally available for an immediate start
• Experience in traditional animation or computer animation
• Demonstrable experience working in cel, stop-motion, or computer animation on feature films or TV
• Expert knowledge of traditional animation principles, acting, film production, and compositional design
• Significant experience working at Mid-Level Animator level
• Expert knowledge of Maya, proprietary, and other software programs
• Knowledge of chaining and constraint techniques
• Knowledge of the CG production pipeline
• Excellent organization and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to adapt to evolving project needs
