Job Description

This role is for a client of SideRamp’s, a platform offering part-time opportunities in the gig economy. They are seeking a User Interface (UI) Designer to join their client’s team, focusing on designing and optimizing user interfaces for digital platforms. The role involves creating visually appealing and intuitive interfaces, designing wireframes, prototypes, and working closely with developers. The position is part-time, requiring a commitment of 10-15 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Design and refine user interfaces for web and mobile applications
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups
• Collaborate with UX designers, product managers, and developers
• Conduct user research and usability testing
• Develop and maintain UI design guidelines
• Stay updated with the latest design trends
• Ensure designs are accessible and meet usability standards

Job Qualifications and Skill Sets

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, or related field
• Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Strong understanding of UI principles, typography, color theory, and layout design
• Experience with responsive and adaptive design techniques
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Strong portfolio demonstrating UI design projects
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus
