Job Description

As a Designer at AKQA, you will work on projects with the Interactive team to create elegant and considered customer experiences for interactive platforms. You will collaborate closely with other creative and technical disciplines while possessing strong communication skills, a keen design aesthetic, and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Create original designs aligned with project goals
• Collaborate with team members to explore concepts and iterate on designs
• Prepare optimized files and present design materials for reviews
• Consult with technical disciplines to ensure designs work within limitations
• Review final deliverables with an exacting eye for detail
• Proficient in formal elements of design, Sketch, and Photoshop
• Ability to create simple prototypes and distill complex asks into elegant messaging
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant interactive experience

Qualities and Characteristics

• Proficient in design elements like typography, layout, and balance
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver quality design under tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills to articulate ideas clearly to team members
• Understanding of front-end web and mobile development technologies
• Experience supporting story-driven campaigns and elevating the brand

Other Information

• No visa transfers or sponsorships offered at this time
• Candidates must be able to work West Coast hours
• Contract rate is $2,500 - $2,800 per week, depending on experience
