Job Description
New York Magazine is seeking a versatile and ambitious Producer to join the On with Kara Swisher team, working on developing episodes and clips for diverse audiences across multiple platforms. The role involves show prep, contributing to episode ideation, guest booking/logistics, and creating research materials for the host. The Producer will collaborate closely with audio producers, understand the show’s workflow and journalistic mission, and be responsible for developing weekly social video content.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in producing and editing social video, preferably in tech and media.
- Strong passion for news and politics, with training from a newsroom or journalism background preferred.
- Familiarity with social media trends and storytelling conventions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with producers and hosts to develop engaging content.
- Proficiency in video editing, post-production, and publishing.
- Experience coaching on-camera hosts is advantageous.
- Comfortable with adapting to fast-paced, news-driven environments and working flexible hours if needed.
