Job Description

We are looking for a Social Media Manager to strategize, source content, and post on our brand Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest accounts in order to drive engagement with our brand. We are open to this role being full-time or freelance (with a commitment above 20 hours/week). You’ll be responsible for creating engaging photo and video content, sourcing additional content from influencers and UGC creators, and writing compelling captions. The role requires collaboration with the creative team to ensure cohesive messaging across all marketing channels, engagement with our online community alongside the community manager, and management of the social media calendar for consistent posting.

Responsibilities

  • Create visually appealing and engaging photo and video content for Instagram and TikTok.
  • Source high-quality content from influencers and UGC creators to enhance our social media presence.
  • Write compelling and on-brand captions for social media posts.
  • Collaborate with the creative team to ensure messaging is consistent across all marketing channels.
  • Work alongside the community manager to actively engage with our online community.
  • Manage the social media calendar to ensure regular and timely content posting.
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends and best practices to keep our content fresh and relevant.
  • Monitor and analyze social media performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, targeting around 3 years of social media experience.
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest platforms and best practices.
  • Exceptional photo and video content creation skills.
  • Ability to write compelling and engaging captions that resonate with our audience.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to manage the social media calendar.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with the creative team and community manager.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and tools to track performance and provide insights.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail and design.
  • Ability to adapt to changing trends and audience preferences.

Location

Full-time team members will be based (2-3 days a week) in our NYC HQ. Freelance team members will be required to be in our NYC office as needed for content/filming purposes.
