Playwrite is a pioneering edtech startup focused on transforming the way children learn English. By integrating state-of-the-art AI technology with creative teaching methods, we provide an interactive and personalized learning experience. Our mission is to cultivate a love for the English language and empower young learners to excel in writing and communication.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced designer to join our dynamic team as a part-time UI/UX designer. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing an app that is both engaging for children and aligned with our innovative AI-driven feedback system. Your expertise will help shape the learning journey of young minds, making English writing accessible, fun, and effective.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with our product and development teams to design intuitive and engaging user interfaces for our educational platform.
• Develop user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, user feedback, and data-driven insights.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that communicate design ideas effectively to stakeholders.
• Ensure consistency in design across all platforms and devices, with a focus on creating a delightful user experience for children.
• Participate in usability testing and iterate on designs based on user feedback and testing outcomes.
• Stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends and best practices, particularly in the edtech space, to ensure our app remains visually appealing and easy to use.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably with experience in designing for children or educational platforms.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your expertise in UI/UX design, with a focus on mobile and web applications.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or similar.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• A creative mindset with a keen eye for detail, passionate about creating delightful user experiences.
