The Wood Mackenzie Creative team is a global multi-discipline design team focused on delivering a trusted visual brand across digital, print, and video assets. As part of this team, you will work on various projects weekly, such as editing interviews, promotional product videos, storyboarding, and executing 2D motion graphic social stings. You will collaborate with stakeholders to transform ideas and scripts into engaging video content.

We are looking for someone passionate about video storytelling, who thrives in a busy creative environment, is adaptable, and possesses problem-solving skills. A strong focus on design and attention to detail is essential. This role prioritizes video editing and animation, and while videographers with production experience are welcome to apply, the primary responsibilities will involve post-production work.

Requirements

About You:

• Experience in video editing and animation within a similar role.
• A degree or equivalent in art/video/digital design.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A showreel demonstrating your experience and ability.
• A cover letter explaining why you are the ideal candidate.
• Experience editing short-form content like interviews, webinars, and social media teasers.
• Experience in 2D animation and adding motion graphic elements to video.
• A solid understanding of graphic design with an eye for composition and typography.
• Highly skilled in Apple’s FCPX ecosystem (FCPX, Motion) and/or Adobe’s Creative Suite (Premiere, After Effects).
• Sound judgement in sourcing and selecting appropriate music for projects.
• Experience in transcribing videos and adding captions.
• An interest in the latest digital technologies and trends in video post-production and storytelling.

Desirables:

• Experience with DSLR cameras, audio, and lighting equipment.
• Experience collaborating with freelancers for video shoot planning and execution.
• An interest in or experience with 3D animation software, particularly Cinema 4D.
