Department: Digital Delivery Hub
Salary: National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £51,200 to £68,000 and London £56,400 to £75,000 per annum (Salary offered will be based on skills and experience)
The FCA regulates the conduct of 45,000 firms in the UK to ensure financial markets are honest, fair, and competitive. As part of the Data, Technology & Innovation (DTI) Division, the role will focus on harnessing the power of data and advanced analytics to transform financial regulation.
As a Senior Associate Content Designer, you will work within a user-centred design (UCD) team to increase the maturity of UCD across the organisation, providing expert support to multi-disciplinary digital product teams.
You will design user-focused content, advocate for content design value, and contribute to the FCA Design System’s style guides. You may also mentor junior designers and engage with the FCA content community.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- Substantial experience as a Content Designer in financial services, government, technology, or consultancy.
- Experience in project/programme environments involving digital transformation and business changes.
Essential Skills
- Deep understanding of language and human behavior to communicate complex information effectively.
- Experience with user-centred design and content design integration for successful outcomes.
- Ability to use quantitative and qualitative data for content design decisions.
- Significant experience in digital content writing, editing, publishing, and using content management systems.
- Understanding of prototyping techniques for visualizing content.
- Skill in identifying stakeholders and tailoring communication to build relationships while meeting user needs.
- Strategic thinking capability in defining content approaches and evaluating strategies against both business requirements and user needs.
