Job Description

Resourcery is a professional service provider based in Cape Town providing a wide range of services to clients all around the world, including finance, marketing, analytics, operations, legal, and others. For this particular role, our client is an investment company with a wide range of businesses in Hospitality and Food & Beverage. The company is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Graphic Designer to join their team.

As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will tell stories by creating engaging graphic content such as illustrations, infographics, presentations, animations, and even multimedia design.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

As an ideal candidate, you must have the following:

• A graphic design qualification.
• Minimum 7-10 years of relevant work experience as a graphic designer.
• Expertise in the most common state-of-the-art graphic design tools, including Figma and Adobe Suite.
• Ability to execute ideas quickly and plan your time around deadlines.
• Ability to work autonomously, manage yourself, and be proactive and self-motivated.
• Excellent organization skills and comfort in working collaboratively.
• Proficient in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A holistic perspective of design and the purpose it serves in the business.
• Prior experience in or a strong affinity for Hospitality and Food & Beverage is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, your duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Manage graphic design projects (mostly digital) from conception to delivery across various output formats.
• Apply a 80-20 principle that ensures quality of output while meeting deadlines.
• Ensure brand consistency throughout various design projects.
• Review the output of other designers to ensure consistently high quality.
• Work with visual design including typography, grids, layouts, colors, iconography, etc.
• Work with interaction design including sketching, illustrations, numbers, diagrams, etc.
• Experience with multimedia design including videography, sound design, editing, post-production, animations, etc. is a big plus.
• Understanding of responsive grids and implementation of designs (e.g., through HTML and CSS) is a big plus.
• Interest in and understanding of the business side (e.g., understanding what numbers mean and if they make sense) is a big plus.
