Job Description

This is a 6-month fixed-term employee contract initially, with a likelihood of extension. This role is part of our Personalised Content team, where we create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products, and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications aimed at changing perceptions, shaping new behaviours, and shifting market share for our clients, including eBay, Ancestry, Walmart, and more.

As a Junior Designer, you will be responsible for creating engaging designs that encourage conversations between people and brands. You’ll collaborate with a team of creatives and copywriters to deliver impactful designs that meet client briefs and communicate the DEPT standard of Design.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand project requirements and concepts; work on a brief from start to finish.
• Design responsive emails and landing pages.
• Storyboard and design paid social ads.
• Create marketing display banners from scratch.
• Animate engaging and disruptive videos for social media.
• Work closely with the production team to deliver multiple campaigns simultaneously.
• Use feedback from peers and leaders to improve work standards.
• Pitch creative ideas that enhance projects.
• Liaise with clients to explain design thinking.
• Research latest design trends to implement into work.
• Apply industry trends and innovations to daily tasks.

What We Are Looking For:

• A genuine love for digital marketing.
• Good eye for visual design and understanding of visual elements such as layout, type, and fonts.
• Digital design experience on industry-standard design frameworks like Figma.
• Experience using Adobe Suite (predominantly Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects).
• Familiarity with design techniques (e.g., prototyping).
• Ability to design in small web placements.
• Basic understanding of UX principles is a bonus.
• Good typesetting & retouching skills.
• Great communication skills.
• Excellent team player and problem solver.
• Self-driven with an inquisitive nature.
