Job Description

Purple, Rock, Scissors has an exciting contract opportunity for an experienced, Senior-level Motion Designer based in either San Francisco or New York City. The role is a temporary, contract position to support a VR/mixed reality hardware product effort. The candidate must be highly skilled in bringing 3D motion prototypes to life and have experience with 3D tools such as Blender or C4D.

The position involves working closely with multi-disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Program Managers, and Engineers to make information instantly and intuitively accessible through immersive computing.

Experience with VR is required for this role.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• Experience with Figma, Photoshop, After Effects, and either Blender or C4D
• Skills in User Experience design, UI design, and using Google Slides
• 6 years of experience in motion design

Additional Information

Locations Preferred: San Francisco or NYC, remote work is acceptable. The role will require extensive onboarding, background checks, and credentialing. The candidate will work with xfn partners to drive and own designs for the visual language and design system of the XR platform. Responsibilities include creating impactful 3D motion prototypes, driving design spec development, and crafting seamless and consistent experiences across the design system.
