Job Description

The award-winning publishing team at Beer52 is searching for a creative, diligent junior designer to contribute to several key monthly titles. Based in the beautiful central Edinburgh office, the primary responsibilities include devising and executing creative print layouts and supporting the team on a diverse range of design tasks. The ideal candidate will be passionate about print, showcasing a proven ability to create eye-catching editorial layouts using limited original assets. Collaborating closely with senior designers and the editorial team in a fast-paced production environment will provide excellent opportunities for skills development, professional progression, and genuine creative expression.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Graduate degree or equivalent in design or a related subject
• Advanced use of Adobe Creative Suite products, primarily InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• A working knowledge of the technical aspects of designing for print
• Excellent organisation and time management abilities

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Professional experience in a print design environment
• Experience working with freelance illustrators and other contractors
• An understanding of, and passion for, food and drink
• An interest in illustration or photography
