Contract: Full-time, Full-time

Job Description

The Motion Graphics Designer is responsible for designing and animating motion graphic elements for all events, promotions, digital signage, pitches, advertisements, and special projects such as title and post-production work. The designer will play an integral part in every stage of the creative process, from concept to storyboard to editing and final production. This challenging role demands expertise in branding and interface design to create digital marketing experiences across a wide range of clients and mediums.

Responsibilities

  • Design and create engaging motion graphics for various media including web and mobile.
  • Collaborate with content and creative teams to understand project scope and objectives.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and concept development.
  • Prepare design plans, concepts, and layouts for motion graphic projects.
  • Assist in selecting audio, video, colors, animations, etc.
  • Edit raw video footage and enhance motion graphics.
  • Work with editors and other designers to resolve technical and design issues.
  • Maintain organization of graphic files and follow best practices.
  • Stay updated on the latest graphic design techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with firm guidelines and design standards.
  • Present designs confidently and create innovative visual solutions.

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of graphic design experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • A portfolio showcasing a variety of motion design skills with an emphasis on thoughtful and conceptual design.
  • Expert level proficiency with Adobe CC programs (After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
  • General skills in Microsoft Office (Advanced skills in PowerPoint is a plus).
  • Ability to draw/sketch and storyboarding skills.
  • Understanding of storytelling, camera moves, timing, and flow in animation.
  • Experience in web design/animation, mobile web/app design, and UI/UX design is a plus.
  • A designer’s eye with the ability to adhere to brand guidelines while creating original styles.
  • Willingness to learn and explore new creative software.
  • Familiarity with various video outputs and formats (4K, HD, frame rate, aspect ratio).
  • Conceptual thinker and visual problem solver.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with high creativity and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills.

Additional Information

For Westchester, the expected salary range for this position is between $90,000 and $110,000, with actual compensation determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
