Job Description

We are looking for a seasoned digital designer with over 8+ years of experience. Banking, Telecoms, FMCG & Retail experience is a plus. The role is a 7-month proof of concept with a hybrid model, where extension and permanency are based on delivery. The position requires being office-based three days a week in Gauteng Hydepark. The salary is industry-related and based on skill and experience.

The ideal candidate will combine technology and imagination to create media for digital interfaces. This includes web design, animation, social media designs, interactive elements, 2D or 3D models, newsletter designs, and tools. Responsibilities also include creating product graphics and brand campaigns, while working with cross-functional teams to take ideas from concept to execution. The designer will interpret the team’s concepts into designs that deliver effective user experiences.

Responsibilities

• Designing, producing, and managing interactive online content, including email templates, social media, promotional artwork, and informative eBooks.
• Preparing briefs for each project and presenting design ideas to relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborating with the e-commerce and marketing teams to ensure design alignment with brand image and usability standards.
• Ensuring consistency in designs and content across all company platforms.
• Reviewing product positioning and online marketing content for improvement opportunities.
• Providing advice on the aesthetics for campaigns, projects, and promotional events.

Requirements

• Relevant degree & or qualifications in digital design, graphic design, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a professional digital design role.
• A portfolio of previous digital design work showcasing experience and creativity.
• Solid knowledge of design software programs, such as Sketch, InVision, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to clearly present design ideas and concepts for campaigns and projects.
• A team player with exceptional organizational and technical skills.
• Experience working within existing CI and implementing according to guidelines.
• Ability to interact with other agency teams/divisions to develop creative concepts.
• Understanding of social media dynamics, including consumer journey and image formats.
• Keeping up to date with current trends in social media.
• Ensuring design consistency and integration across all communication channels.
• Responsible for overseeing the creative process from concept to final sign-off.
