Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Designer to join our passionate and growing team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in bringing TBCo’s creative vision to life by designing collections that balance trend-leading design, sustainability, and timeless appeal. You’ll collaborate across departments to innovate, adapt, and ensure our products embody our values: We Are Design Leaders, We Are Responsible, We Are Impactful, and We Grow Together.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Designer at TBCo, your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving Creativity: Lead the development of innovative, design-led concepts for fashion and lifestyle collections.
  • Strategic Research & Forecasting: Conduct in-depth research to identify trends and ensure TBCo remains at the forefront of design and sustainability.
  • Leadership in Collaborative Development: Partner closely with the buying and merchandising teams.
  • Design Ownership: Create detailed sketches, patterns, technical designs, and specifications.
  • Prototyping & Innovating: Experiment with materials, techniques, and processes.
  • Supporting Collaborations: Contribute to exciting design partnerships and collaborations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and textile innovations.
  • Mentorship & Development: Guide and mentor junior designers.

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Visionary and Creative: A seasoned innovator with bold ideas and forward-thinking design concepts.
  • Highly Experienced in Design: At least 5 years of experience designing commercial product collections.
  • Sustainability-Minded: Deep commitment to integrating sustainable practices into design processes.
  • Dynamic and Flexible: Comfortable in a fast-paced, start-up-like environment.
  • Collaborative and Independent: Able to work autonomously while fostering strong cross-team relationships.
  • Detail-Oriented and Organized: Capable of managing multiple projects and delivering on time.
  • Mentor and Team Builder: Passionate about nurturing talent and fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration.

Skills and Experience

We’re looking for the below skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fashion, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in design software, such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Canva.
  • Strong knowledge of design principles, textiles, and manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A growth mindset and a drive for continuous self-development.
  • A portfolio demonstrating creativity and innovation.

Details

Location: Minimum 2-3 days a week based in Edinburgh at our Leith studio.

Hours: Mon-Fri, flexible hours between 8am-6pm.

Salary: Negotiable dependent on experience.
