Job Description

We’re looking for a freelance motion graphics designer who knows how to breathe life into business subjects with detailed, often complex content. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working within a marketing team and be driven by deadlines to create dynamic, visually interesting content. While character animation is a required skill, this is not a job for people looking to make character-driven feature films. We primarily tell stories with marketing information as the backbone.

This is a remote-only position and candidates will need their own hardware.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

• Storyboard concepting with our writers and working with our in-house designers to develop the look and feel of videos
• Working closely with the creative director to meet the marketing goals of each project
• Creating all animation, from start to finish
• Managing additional freelance resources
• Working as animation director when additional resources are needed

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

• A reel that demonstrates both technical ability and the ability to tell a story in a creative and direct manner
• Expert skills in After Effects CC, with additional skills in Premiere and Cinema 4D desired
• Additional skills in HTML5 animation using Hype are a big plus
• The ability to take charge of a project and see it through to a successful conclusion that exceeds the client’s expectations
