Job Description

The Senior Motion Designer (Fixed Term) will work collaboratively with the creative team and editorial partners to develop concepts and motion graphics for show opens, transitions, explainer graphics, and scenic studio graphics. They will work fluidly between 2D and 3D animation styles, designing and developing looks and packages for news programs, special events, and documentaries. This role involves creating and delivering animated graphics under the guidance of creative directors, producers, and editors, maintaining awareness of industry trends, new practices, and design/production tools. The ideal candidate will excel in design, news, and entertainment, with a keen eye for animation, typography, timing, and movement.

Requirements

• BA/BS or BFA/MFA degree in motion design, animation, graphic design, or relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of professional experience producing high-end creative work for television.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite including After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Proficiency in Maxon Cinema 4D + Redshift (or other accelerated renderers) for motion design is preferred.
• Familiarity with Plugins such as RedGiant, Boris FX, Sapphire, AE Expression, C4D Expresso, X-Particles, etc.
• A strong design/production portfolio is required.
