Job Description

As a Freelance Senior Designer, you’ll collaborate with creative and technical teams to create elegant design systems for websites, marketing emails, and other interactive elements. This role requires a balance of creativity and logic, ensuring a holistic approach to typography, iconography, motion, and interface elements.

Requirements

You Will:

• Audit current implementations and identify areas for simplification and improved consistency.
• Design with flexibility to ensure accessibility and adaptability across various platforms.
• Stress test designs and refine as necessary.
• Create prototypes to showcase transitions and behaviours.
• Prepare design files for final documentation with pixel-perfect specifications.
• Communicate design limitations and flexibilities to designers and developers.
• Work closely with the Senior Art Director to inform design priorities.
• Collaborate with project teams to iterate on design options.
• Consult with technical teams to ensure design feasibility and clarity.
• Promote thoughtful design practices and improve team collaboration.
• Determine the best medium for creative review and optimize design files accordingly.
• Create compelling presentation flows with strong design rationale.

You Have:

• Experience with display banners.
• A pixel-perfect digital design portfolio showcasing storytelling and problem-solving skills from concept to execution.
• A passion for brand identity that balances consistency and flexibility.
• Proficiency in the formal elements of design, focusing on typography, balance, and proportion.
• A systematic approach to design decision-making.
• Strong digital file structure and asset management capabilities.
• A keen attention to detail and a drive for pixel perfection.
• Ability to clearly articulate ideas to creative, product management, and development teams.
• Capability to produce strong design rationales under tight deadlines.
• A track record of thriving in fast-paced creative environments.
• 5+ years of experience in product design for web and with design systems.
• Expertise in Figma, Photoshop, and Sketch, with great file organization skills.
• Excellent communication skills for both creative and technical discussions.
• Experience participating in healthy design debates to enhance design integrity.
