Job Description

Welcome to Warner Bros. Discovery… the stuff dreams are made of. The Senior Graphics Artist position will design and produce still and animated graphic content for Live News and Feature Programming. You will communicate with producers, graphic supervisors, and other design team members to support a range of graphics requests. This role requires an expert multi-tasker able to support daily news requests while working on quick turn animations, package development, and longer-term branding initiatives, all while producing high-quality design under tight deadlines.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Degree from accredited art school with emphasis in graphic design, motion design, or related field (illustration, photography, industrial design, visual communications) or equivalent work experience.
• Exceptional audio skills working with music, sound design, and voice track.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with other teams under pressure.
• Embraces working in a diverse, collaborative environment; willing to train and assist other designers on various levels.
• Excellent computer, organizational, and interpersonal skills required.
• Expert level at Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.). Knowledge of Cinema 4D is a plus.
• Knowledge of world news and current events.
• Flexible schedule: Ability to work extended hours, including overnight hours and weekends as needed.
• Reel/work examples required; be prepared to highlight 2-3 case studies and specific contribution for each.

Experience:

• Accomplished motion designer with exceptional skills in creating animated content for program branding and explainer graphics.
• Able to take a verbal script and translate complex ideas into easily understandable visual presentations.
• Thorough understanding of Design standards and Style applied and advocated on all projects.
• Sound editorial thinking when producing graphics in support of news content.
• Capable of successfully managing time and resources to create a diverse scope of graphics supporting daily news and other network programming.
• During breaking news, quickly determine graphic needs of both networks and expedite necessary elements accurately.
