Job Description

The Senior Designer (Graphic) works with the ACD’s and Global Creative Lab to develop advertising campaigns that communicate the brand values and product offerings of Uniqlo. Projects include developing content for seasonal campaigns, fashion collaborations, new store launches, and special projects that are used in stores, magazines, and across digital and social channels. The role involves creating thoughtful design systems with down-to-the-pixel precision and clarity, leading and contributing concepts and ideas for projects, and collaborating within a team environment, while also respecting Uniqlo’s corporate culture.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • A broad body of work that demonstrates experience with creating complex and thoughtful design systems.
  • Proven experience with print, typography, and digital design.
  • A diverse portfolio that shows a range of digital and print work.
  • 6+ years of design experience; preferably at a creative agency or in-house.
  • Strong knowledge of typography, graphic design, and confident in Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Interest in photography and art direction; editing and motion experience is a bonus.
  • A connection to trends in fashion, art, music, and contemporary culture.
  • BA strongly preferred in Graphic Design or related field.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to articulate a creative POV through effective storytelling.
  • Senior experience in a team environment, with a prior senior role in a team dynamic and corporate or agency environment.
  • Ability to lead and own projects from start to finish.
  • Ability to guide and mentor mid-level designers.
  • Organizational skills, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • A positive mindset and enthusiasm to complete tasks effectively.
  • Flexible to work a retail schedule and accommodate international meetings.
  • Capable of liaising with third-party providers and agencies when needed.

Benefits

Salary: $65 - $75 per hour. The offered salary or salary range is based on several factors, including overall experience, relevant experience, education level, certifications, applicable skills and expertise, and location of the position.
